Meet Dr. Appelboom


Dr. Appelboom is a neurosurgeon who has gained recognition for his experience and knowledge in minimally invasive surgery and brain tumor surgery. Dr. Appelboom specializes in helping patients overcome pain and discomfort in their neck and back with an added areas of expertise in neck decompression for disc herniation and neck fusion for instability.

Additionally, Dr. Appelboom is highly recognized as an industry leader in robotic spine surgery research and innovation. He has published over 90 research papers, authored four book chapters, and has served on editorial boards for five medical journals. He is an active member of the American College of Surgeons (ACS), the North American Spine Society (NASS), and the Congress of Neurological Surgeons (CNS).

At the Institue for Robotic Surgery, Dr. Appelboom uses his extensive expertise to assists on complex spine surgery cases, as well as offering second opinions as needed. Dr. Appelboom is dedicated to providing top-notch, conservative surgical treatments to his patients as well as ensuring that every patient receives the best care and treatment available.
