Meet Dr. Pyun

Background

Assistant professor of orthopedic spine surgery at the NYU School of Medicine, Dr. Pyun was born and raised in New Jersey, attended Rutgers University, and studied medicine at the UMDNJ Medical School. He completed orthopedic surgery residency at New York Medical College and served as chief resident during his final year of training at their busy level 1 trauma center. He completed a spine surgery fellowship at the University of Maryland Medical Center, and the world-renowned R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, Maryland.

Dr. Pyun is a member of several professional organizations including the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the North American Spine Society, AO Spine, and the Korean American Spine Society. He has authored and presented multiple publications including research papers, abstracts, and textbook chapters.
