"Dr. Scheid specializes in minimally invasive spine surgery and artificial disc replacement technology. His practice focuses on the treatment of spinal stenosis, degenerative disc disease, herniated discs, spondylolisthesis, and the management of spinal tumors. He has performed more than 6,000 successful surgeries.
Dr. Scheid graduated with honors from John Carroll University in Cleveland, OH, where he received the Presidential Scholarship for Academic Achievement. He attended Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, graduating with honors as one of the top five students in a class of more than 230 graduates. He was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha and Hobart Amory Hare Medical Societies.
Dr. Scheid’s research interest lies in improving the safety of spine surgery. He recently authored a landmark article explaining a new neuromonitoring protocol that improves outcomes in lateral access spine surgery in The Spine Journal."
