Dr. Asulin is a pioneer and leader in minimally invasive surgical techniques and one of the world's most experienced gynecologic robotic surgeons. He has taught extensively in the area of minimally invasive surgery and trained a large number of surgeons using robotic surgery technology.
He is a board-certified obstetrician-gynecologist and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. After graduating from Saint George's University School of Medicine, Dr. Asulin completed an OB/GYN residency at Stamford Hospital / Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in Stamford, Connecticut.
Dedicating his entire career to the advancement of robotic and minimally invasive surgery, Dr. Asulin led and directed multiple MIS and robotic surgery programs in NJ for the past 20 years. He served as the chairman of the department of ObGyn at both Hudson Regional Hospital and HUMC at Pascack Valley Hospital. He also served as Chief Surgical Officer as well as the first program director of the ObGyn residency program at Saint Mary Hospital in Passaic, NJ.
Currently, the chief of the Institute for Robotic Surgery at Hudson Regional University Hospital, as well as the director of GYN Robotic Surgery at Pascack Valley Hospital in Westwood, NJ, Dr Asulin also serves as the head of the Center of Endometriosis Medicine.
He is accredited by SRC as the first Elite Master Surgeon in GYN robotic surgery in the US and has been named a Castle Connolly TOP Doctor for many years.
With several thousand robotic surgeries completed successfully, Dr. Asulin has extensive experience in treating complex and challenging cases of uterine fibroids, pelvic organ prolapse, and endometriosis utilising robotic surgery technology.
