Podiatry

The foot and ankle are two of the most complex and frequently injured parts of the body. Pain in the foot or ankle can make everyday tasks challenging, so it’s crucial to seek proper care to regain mobility and movement. The Institute for Robotic Surgery keeps our community on the move with the diagnosis and surgical care of issues affecting the foot and ankle. Our podiatric team offers minimally-invasive procedures and utilize robotic surgical techniques to help patients return to an active and pain-free lifestyle as quickly as possible.

da Vinci Xi Surgical System

The da Vinci Xi Robotic Surgical System delivers high definition views, giving your surgeon a crystal-clear view of the surgical area, magnified 10 times what the human eye sees. Its finger-like instruments bend and rotate like a human hand, but with an even greater range of motion. Your surgeon is in control 100% of the time, but with enhanced vision and precision that gynecological procedures often require.

Stryker Mako

Stryker Mako is the latest in joint replacement surgery, transforming the way the procedure is performed. Robotic arm-assisted surgery offers a new approach to ankle replacement for podiatric surgeons that offers the potential for a higher level of patient-specific implant alignment and positioning. The technology allows surgeons to create a 3D plan prior to surgery that models a patient’s individual foot and ankle anatomy and identifies the best implant size, orientation, and alignment based on that. The procedure is then performed using a surgeon-controlled robotic arm that helps the surgeon execute with the highest degree of precision.
